These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the HiveMind mobile application and any related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by HiveMind ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading or using the app, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use HiveMind. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms.

2. Your Account

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
• You may not use another user's account without permission.
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Post content that is unlawful, harmful, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable
• Harass, threaten, or intimidate other users
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without our written permission
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the Service
• Violate any applicable local, national, or international law

4. Content and Predictions

News content displayed in HiveMind is sourced from third-party publishers. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any news content. Predictions and opinion questions in the app are for entertainment and discussion purposes only. They do not constitute financial, legal, or professional advice of any kind.

By posting comments or other content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, display, and distribute that content within the Service.

5. Subscriptions and Billing

• HiveMind Premium is available as a paid subscription billed through Apple App Store or Google Play.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
• We do not offer refunds except where required by applicable law or as determined by Apple or Google under their respective refund policies.
• Prices are subject to change with reasonable notice.

6. Advertising

Free plan users will see non-personalised advertisements within the app. We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements. Premium subscribers do not see advertisements.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, design, graphics, and software comprising the HiveMind app are owned by or licensed to us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written consent.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party platforms including Clerk (authentication), Supabase (database), Google AdMob (advertising), and RevenueCat (subscriptions). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and policies.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. Your use of the Service is at your sole risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, HiveMind shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or engaged in conduct harmful to other users or to us. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via an in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
